Senior Logistics Specialist

Our client in Westchester County, NY is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist plays a key role in supporting domestic and global logistics operations, carrier sourcing, rate procurement and quotations, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate and maintain freight rates with carriers
• Monitor shipments and develop logistics solutions
• Oversee end‑to‑end shipment execution with suppliers
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documentation
• Optimize rates and identify cost‑effective alternatives
• Verify accuracy and completeness of all quoted rates
• Provide operational and customer service support across logistics functions
• Proactively identify and escalate logistics issues
• Assist with claims processing
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office
• Experience in freight forwarding (import and export)
• Transportation management experience
• Hands‑on experience with rate sourcing and quotation processes
• Strong background in domestic and international shipping documentation
• Experience with ocean carrier contracts and rate management
