Senior Laboratory Assistant at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. This position is part-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

Under the direction and supervision of the Division Supervisor, the Sr. Lab Assistant I performs capillary and venous specimen collections for St. Joseph hospital Inpatient and Outpatient. Staff ensures accurate and timely receipt, centrifugation and delivery of laboratory specimens to appropriate departments and reference labs.

Required Qualifications:
  • California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, Or 
  • California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
  • 1 year experience as a phlebotomist or Lab Assistant performing blood specimen collections, specimen processing, centrifuging and handling send out specimens to other Laboratories, or experience in working in a laboratory division.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in blood specimen collections.
  • 2 years of experience performing specimen processing, centrifuging and handling send out specimens to other laboratories or working in a laboratory division.
