Job Summary
The Senior HRIS Analyst serves as a lead resource for our client's human resources systems environment, with a primary focus on Workday administration, optimization, and support. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally to enhance system functionality, streamline processes, and ensure data integrity across the HR technology landscape. The role blends technical configuration expertise with problem solving, reporting, process improvement, and end-user support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary functional administrator for Workday and support multiple HR modules across the employee lifecycle.
- Configure and maintain business processes, security settings, calculated fields, validations, and workflows within Workday.
- Support ongoing system enhancements, upgrades, testing activities, and release management initiatives.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects related to functionality, integrations, and user access.
- Partner cross functionally to identify system improvements and optimize operational processes.
- Develop and maintain HR reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support business and compliance needs.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of employee and organizational data across systems.
- Support audit requirements, compliance initiatives, and documentation related to HR systems and controls.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and end-user support for complex HRIS inquiries and escalations.
- Maintain process documentation, training materials, user guides, and configuration records.
- Assist with major HR initiatives including compensation planning, organizational changes, system implementations, integrations, and other enterprise projects.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process standardization.
- Support change management efforts, including communication, training, and adoption of new system functionality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
- Several years of progressive HRIS experience, including strong hands-on Workday administration and configuration experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Workday functionality across multiple modules within the HCM environment.
- Experience configuring workflows, security roles, business processes, reporting, and calculated fields within Workday.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Experience supporting HR systems in complex, multi-state, global, or regulated environments preferred.
- Understanding of compliance, audit processes, and internal controls related to HR systems.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
