Hyperion Intelligence (Hyperion) is seeking highly motivated and experienced engineers to join the team building the financial intelligence layer for the private markets. As a member of our team, you'll be shipping features end-to-end, from database schema to production deploy, across as many surfaces as you care to invest your time. You'll work across front-end, back-end, DevOps, and data infrastructure to deliver secure and scalable solutions to our rapidly expanding universe of customers. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.

We use LangGraph and Modal to enhance our core product offerings for our users, and implement custom internal agents to empower our developers in design, development, and debugging.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate cross-functionally to build innovative application experiences
· Ship features end-to-end — from database schema to deployed UI — across our financial data and AI products
· Build and maintain React and Node.js applications
· Integrate with accounting platforms (QuickBooks, etc.) and enterprise partner APIs
· Design and implement AI agents, tools, skills, and harnesses
· Own the things you build — monitoring, performance, iteration, the whole lifecycle
· Review code thoughtfully and hold the bar on quality without slowing the team down
Minimum Qualifications
· 6+ years of professional engineering experience
· Strong across the stack: React, Node.js, PostgreSQL — you don't need to be an expert in all of them, but you can't be afraid of any of them
· Experience with functional programming paradigms and patterns
· Experience with AI/LLM integration (LangGraph, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)
· You've led technical projects before — scoping, building, shipping, not just executing tickets
· Comfortable working directly with external partners and their engineering teams
· High-agency: you figure out what needs doing and do it, without waiting for a roadmap to tell you
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with accounting and financial data integrations
· Experience building maintainable and testable code bases including API design and unit testing techniques
· Understanding of information retrieval concepts, such as indexing, querying, and ranking
· Experience with machine learning and/or AI/LLM tools
· Serverless infrastructure experience (Modal, AWS Lambda)
Compensation
Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary for a position in Irvine, CA only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
$59/hour up to $140,000/year + bonus + equity
