JOB DESCRIPTION

TheSeniorFull StackEngineerwillleadbackenddesign and development,build front-end interfaces, craftDevSecOpsworkflows,leverage AWS services, and implement containerization strategiesfor high-priority projects. This position requires extensiveexpertiseinbackend and frontend technologies in production environments. This is ahybridrolelocatedin Crystal City, VAwiththeoptionforflex hours.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As aSenior Full Stack Engineer,you willplay a critical role inpartnering with product managers, integrating backend microservices, andautomating CI/CD pipelines insupport high-level governmentobjectives. Working directly on classified projects,youwillbe responsible fordeveloping,maintaining, and securing datainfrastructurein cloud-basedenvironments.

JOB DUTIES(INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Develop scalable backend solutions using Go programming language within a microservices architecture

  • Build interactive and responsive front-end interfacesutilizingthe Vue.js framework and relevant libraries

  • Integrate backend microservices seamlessly with frontend components to create cohesive and efficient applications

  • Leverage AWS services like SQS, S3, and managed database solutions including OpenSearch/ElasticSearch and PostgreSQL for application development and deployment

  • Implement containerization strategies using Kubernetes (specifically EKS) to deploy scalable, reliable applications

  • Utilize Helm for managing Kubernetes applications as needed

  • Participate in automation and engineering tasks within DevSecOps workflows (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, continuous monitoring)

  • Apply infrastructure-as-code principles for application deployment and configuration

  • Contribute to designing and building secure, efficient systems within cloud-based environments

  • Partner with project and product managers, users, and stakeholders to define, design, and deliver new features

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following coding standards and best practices

  • Conduct thorough code reviews, debug issues, and troubleshoot tomaintainapplication stability and reliability

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Extensive experience as a Full Stack Developer working with backend and frontend technologies in production environments

  • Strongexpertisein Go programming language

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and techniques like service discovery, circuit breakers, and software design patterns

  • Proficiencyin JavaScript and the Vue.js framework for front-end development

  • Strong experience withElasticSearch/OpenSearch,PostgreSQLand AWS services, including SQS and S3

  • Hands-on knowledge of containerized environmentsleveragingKubernetes

  • Familiarity with Helm or managing Kubernetes deployments is highly desirable

  • ProficiencyinDevSecOpsmethodologies including CI/CD automation, continuous monitoring, and infrastructure as code

  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, capable of working collaboratively or independently in an agile environment

  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, along with tools and methodologies to support modern development practices

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Clearance:CurrentDoWTS/SCIClearance isrequired.Candidates without this clearance will not be considered.

  • Experience:8+yearsof experiencein in Go programming, microservices architecture, PostgreSQL, AWS services, and working with OpenSearch/ElasticSearch

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree inComputerScience,Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience.

  • Certifications:

  • Role requirements: Hybrid work environment with 3 days on sitein Crystal Cityand two days WFH

  • Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role

The likely salary range for this position is $187,000 - $253,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
