Senior Food Scientist

The Food Scientist develops, evaluates, and implements innovative solutions in food products and processes. This role independently leads experimentation projects, collaborates with cross-functional teams, analyzes data, and translates research into actionable recommendations that enhance product quality, safety, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct food product research, ingredient testing, and sensory analysis to optimize formulations.
  • Design and execute experiments, proof-of-concepts, and pilot studies.
  • Perform data analysis and interpret results to inform product development decisions.
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality, and supply chain teams to implement innovations.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging food technologies to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Document findings, prepare reports, and communicate results to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in food R&D, product development, or innovation environments.
  • Strong proficiency in analytical techniques, food safety standards, project management, and experimental design.
  • Experience with digital tools, data modeling, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
