Job Title: Senior Estimator

We’re looking for a Senior Estimator to join our growing team and play a key role in delivering major transit projects.
As a Senior Estimator, you will lead the preparation of accurate, competitive, and strategic cost estimates for large-scale public transit and heavy civil works. Projects may include rail systems, stations, tunnels, bridges, highways, and associated infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end estimating for public transit and heavy civil projects
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to develop detailed cost plans
- Manage quantity take-offs, pricing, and risk analysis
- Collaborate with engineering, project management, and procurement teams
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Develop and maintain estimating databases and benchmarks
- Provide value engineering options and cost-saving strategies
- Present estimates to senior leadership and clients
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in heavy civil construction estimating, with a focus on public transit or infrastructure
- Proven ability to lead estimates on large, complex projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and cost drivers
- Proficiency with estimating software and cost management tools
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
