Senior Enterprise Architect – Security
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid) + additional locations available
Overview:
The Senior Enterprise Architect – Security is a high-impact, enterprise-level role responsible for defining and driving security architecture strategy across a complex, evolving technology environment. This position will shape the future-state architecture, establish standards, and support large-scale transformation initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise security architecture strategy, roadmap development, and target-state design
- Translate business needs into scalable, secure architecture solutions and blueprints
- Partner with business and IT leaders to guide technology decisions and investments
- Act as a trusted advisor to engineering and product teams; influence solution design and execution
- Establish and govern architecture standards, frameworks, and review processes (e.g., architecture review boards)
- Drive innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and evolving threat landscapes
- Support major transformation initiatives across security, data, customer, and infrastructure domains
- Mentor architects and provide technical leadership across teams
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of enterprise architecture experience with strong focus on security
- Deep expertise across security domains (IAM, network security, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, etc.)
- Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong background in both cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-prem environments
- Proven ability to balance strategy (2/3) with hands-on execution (1/3)
- Experience influencing executives and collaborating cross-functionally
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ITIL)
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience); CISSP/CISM preferred
