As an Experienced Piping Engineer at WSP, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, layout, and engineering of piping systems in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects. You will work under the supervision of senior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality, compliant, and cost-effective piping solutions.
Assist in the design and engineering of piping systems, including piping layout, isometrics, and
support systems for various industrial and commercial projects.
Prepare accurate project documentation, including design reports, technical specifications, and
construction drawings.
Perform basic calculations such as pipe sizing, pressure drop, and stress analysis, adhering to
relevant industry Eurocodes and EN standards (EN, ISO, DIN, PED 2014/68/EU, etc.).
Apply strong technical knowledge of Swedish codes and standards, and applicable Swedish
regulations (SS standards, EKS, AFS, Svensk Standard SSG) governing pressure equipment,
structural loading, materials, welding, fire safety, and mechanical installations.
Preferred familiarity with stress analysis software (Caesar II, AutoPIPE, Rohr2).
Select appropriate piping materials, valves, fittings, and supports based on project requirements and
industry standards.
Develop and review technical drawings such as P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams),
piping plans, and 3D models.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers
to ensure integration of piping systems.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
Support senior engineers in troubleshooting piping-related issues during construction,
commissioning, and operational phases.
Stay updated with advancements in piping technologies and software tools.
