Senior Engineer – CapEx
LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer with a strong focus on Capital Expenditures (CapEx) to join a leading manufacturing company. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with a proven background in capital project management, equipment implementation, and facilities or process improvements who is ready to take on increased responsibility in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of hands-on engineering expertise and strategic planning skills to support operational growth and long-term investment initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage CapEx projects from concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, design, installation, and commissioning.
- Develop capital justifications, ROI analyses, and project proposals for new equipment, process improvements, and facility upgrades.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, finance, and leadership teams to align capital projects with business objectives.
- Oversee equipment specifications, vendor selection, and contractor management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage project risk, scope changes, and cost controls throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all capital projects comply with safety regulations, engineering standards, and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve reliability through capital investment.
- Coordinate equipment installation, start-up, and validation activities with minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, drawings, and records for capital assets and completed projects.
- Provide regular project status updates, timelines, and financial reporting to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of engineering experience with a strong emphasis on CapEx or capital project management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
- Proven experience managing capital budgets, timelines, and cross-functional project teams.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, and facility systems.
- Design Experience including multiple years of CAD
- Experience working with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Ability to analyze technical and financial data to support capital investment decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles is a plus.
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: $95,000 – $110,000 based on experience
Hours: Monday through Friday
