Senior Employment Attorney(Hybrid)

Overview

We are partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Employment Attorney to serve as a strategic advisor across all areas of labor and employment law. This individual will play a critical role in guiding leadership through complex workforce matters while balancing legal risk with business objectives. The position offers high visibility and direct interaction with executive leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary legal advisor on employment-related matters, including employee relations, terminations, workplace investigations, and policy development
  • Partner closely with HR and executive leadership to proactively manage risk and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Lead and oversee internal investigations involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other workplace concerns
  • Provide counsel on wage and hour compliance, classification issues, and multi-state employment matters
  • Draft, review, and update employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and separation agreements
  • Manage outside counsel on employment litigation and administrative claims, including strategy, budgeting, and resolution
  • Advise on organizational changes such as restructurings, reductions in force, and integration efforts
  • Support training initiatives for managers and employees on employment law best practices and risk mitigation
  • Stay ahead of evolving employment laws and provide actionable guidance to business leaders


Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing
  • 6+ years of experience in employment law (law firm or in-house)
  • Strong experience handling complex employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice
  • Experience supporting multi-state or national organizations preferred
  • Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
