A Senior Utility Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing complex utility projects, including planning, design, construction, and implementation. Responsibilities may include:
Leading the planning and design of utility projects, including conducting feasibility studies, developing project plans and specifications, and obtaining regulatory approvals.
Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, such as engineers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and customers, to ensure project goals are met.
Procuring materials and equipment for projects and managing the bidding process.
Providing technical guidance and support to project team members, including engineers and technicians.
Monitoring project progress and performance, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Preparing and reviewing project reports, documentation, and drawings.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in utility engineering and project management.
Participating in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Must have experience working in Electric Utility, Project management, Design / Design Review and Construction.
