As Senior Director, Corporate Business Development, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for key functions within Scripps Health’s growth initiatives. This role is responsible for leading strategic planning efforts, guiding corporate development activities and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, offering expert insight to support decision-making across complex business opportunities.

You will analyze budgets and proforma analyses, define and support drive process improvement, and establish policies and standards that support operational excellence. This role also includes leadership of multidisciplinary teams - managing staffing, performance, and development - while fostering a high-performing, collaborative environment.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare services, operations, and evolving business models
  • Demonstrated experience in mergers and acquisitions, including valuation, deal structuring, and negotiation
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for executives
  • Exceptional quantitative, financial, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with a talent for influencing senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to identify issues quickly and recommend effective solutions
  • Self-starter who can streamline executive decision-making and manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including developing and mentoring team members
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • Solid understanding of regulatory environments and the ability to translate requirements into viable business solutions

Required Education/Certification:

  • Master’s degree in Business or a related field; MBA, MPH or MHA preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience within a tax-exempt healthcare delivery organization or consulting for healthcare delivery clients

Position Pay Range: $84.15-$122.01/hour
