RETS Associates is partnering with a vertically integrated real estate owner-operator to identify a 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀) to join their growing platform in Menlo Park, CA.
The Senior Associate will sit at the intersection of development execution, project controls, and investment analysis, supporting the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center developments across major U.S. markets. This individual will work directly with senior leadership and play a critical role in managing project budgets, schedules, and cross-functional coordination across internal teams and external partners.
This is a high-exposure, execution-driven role designed as a pipeline to Development Manager / AVP for candidates with 3–5 years of experience in real estate development, construction, project finance, or infrastructure-related roles.
Responsibilities:
• Track and manage development budgets and project schedules across multiple large-scale data center developments
• Coordinate across architects, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), civil/environmental engineers, contractors, and internal development/finance teams
• Monitor critical path items including power delivery, entitlements, and long-lead procurement
• Support underwriting, investment memos, and capital coordination across equity and debt processes
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• 3–5 years of experience in real estate development, construction, project controls, or real estate project finance
• Strong understanding of development economics, including hard/soft costs, capital structures, and project scheduling
• Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, consultants, or infrastructure stakeholders
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple concurrent workstreams
