Position Description
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in leading the development of first-of-its kind automated machinery, driving projects from concept to integration. Responsibilities
• Design and develop large sized custom automation machines independently
• Provide leadership to a team-design effort, guiding a small team of designers through projects of all sizes and complexities
• Mentor lower-level engineers and help develop the design skills of other engineers in the company
• Assist in the continuous improvement of best modeling practices, project organization, standardization, and machine design
• Communicate independently with customers in a professional and effective way. Have the skillset to convince customer team of project direction and design choices
• Demonstrate the ability to consistently deliver projects that meet both timeline & quality objectives
• Provide leadership within the organization and entire design group
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 6+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design of automation equipment & components
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with SolidWorks or other 3D CAD system
• Hold strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience leading & directing small teams
• Competent in MS Office: excel, word, power point
• Able to travel by air or car (estimated 5% max.)
• US citizen or authorization to work permanently for any Employer in the United States
