This lawyer will support the Intelligence Systems Division (ISD) within our Space Sector business. ISD designs and builds space assets and satellites for communications, space-based sensing, data collection, military targeting, mission sustainment support, and develops other restricted missions for the U.S. Government and commercial customers.
Responsibilities will include counseling on matters associated with the pursuit, capture, negotiation, execution and administration of U.S. Government and commercial prime contracts and subcontracts; advising and coordinating with various business and legal specialists inside the company on matters related to intellectual property, environmental, health, safety, real estate and property, human resources, internal investigations, supply chain, export/import compliance, litigation, and employment and labor relations.
Succeeding in this position requires excellent problem-solving skills, sound judgment, strong business acumen, discretion, the highest standards of integrity and ethics, and the ability to communicate and collaborate with legal and business teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS SENIOR CORPORATE COUNSEL 2:
Juris Doctor degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant U.S. Government contracting experience
Member of an appropriate state bar and/or ability to maintain in-house licensure status in the work location
Ability to obtain, and maintain, a DoD security clearance
U.S. Government and commercial contracting experience at a law firm, U.S. Government agency, and/or in-house legal department
Ability to analyze complex legal concepts and communicate effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting U.S. Government programs and/or complex commercial transactions as in-house counsel, plus law firm or Government agency experience
Experience supporting clients and interfacing with customers in the defense/intelligence communities
Expertise with FAR, DFAR, NASA FAR/Supplement, and other U.S. Government agencies’ rules and practices
Litigation and/or investigative experience
An active U.S. DoD security clearance at the Secret level or higher
