Senior Copywriter - Market Access

Role Summary: The Senior Copywriter plays a critical role in the copy department and broader team by developing market access content that pulls client strategy through communication materials for their assigned brands. Coming up with insightful ideas that can be applied across different platforms, and writing engaging and compelling market access copy for the pharmaceutical category is what fuels the success of the Sr. Copywriter. Creating a partnership with an art director and other interdisciplinary teams to create smart, targeted content and breakthrough communication ideas for payer, HCP, and patient audiences is at the core of this role.
This key creative team member will be able to distinguish the writing style and purpose between strategy documents, positioning statements, presentations, and health economic information. A high level of language arts will be evident in the Sr. Copywriter’s work.
Essential Responsibilities:
Creates, presents, and produces engaging and compelling copy and digital experiences for the pharmaceutical market access category. Ensures it is clear, concise, has overall good composition and a logical flow.
Contributes to the conceptual process, alone or part of a group, by generating smart and targeted ideas for clients. Produces accurate and high-quality work.
Delves into the category details and research to develop the key insight driving the content.
Develops strong relationships with other brand team members across different departments within the agency.
Understands and demonstrates thorough knowledge of the Client’s brand or service, clinical indication or healthcare application, the therapeutic category and marketplace, and related healthcare affiliations and relationships.
Works closely with art directors and takes the initiative to contribute to the creative process.
Is accountable for the success of projects. Readily adapts to sudden changes in deliverables.
Collaborates with art and account team members to prepare jobs for final internal presentations as well as finalize developed content for client presentations.
Follows standard agency processes and procedures guidelines, e.g. timely timesheet submission.
Reviews and formats copy according to AMA/client/agency style and follows regulations and marketing techniques for correct/allowable copy usage.
Participates in weekly status meetings; regularly attends internal training and creative learning sessions, and other agency meetings.

Requirements:
Excellent writing skills. Extensive knowledge of the distinct writing styles and a thorough understanding of relevant software, applications, processes, techniques, protocols and editorial procedures are needed.
Demonstrated ability to be proactive and prioritize workflow to ensure timeliness and quality under tight deadlines.
Has a good working knowledge of digital platforms and content development.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple projects.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all internal and external teams.
