Senior Consultant - Technical Program Management

Amplytico
Santa Clara, CA

We are seeking a highly organized and technically fluent Technical Program Manager (TPM) Consultant to join our delivery team. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone across one or more client engagements, translating complex data and analytics workstreams into structured, trackable, and executable programs. You'll work directly with client stakeholders, data engineers, and Amplytico analysts to drive program delivery from initiation through value realization.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in a Jira backlog grooming session and a C-suite steering committee, knows how to speak the language of data without being a data engineer, and brings a proven track record of managing multi-stakeholder analytics and technology programs in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Project Delivery

  • Own end-to-end program management for analytics and technology implementations, including scope, schedule, risks, and stakeholder alignment
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans in Jira and/or Azure DevOps, ensuring sprint cadences, milestones, and deliverables are tracked and communicated
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and ensure teams maintain velocity and focus
  • Proactively identify blockers, dependencies, and risks — escalating and resolving with urgency

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client program stakeholders, translating technical progress into executive-ready narratives
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both technical teams and business leaders across client organizations
  • Lead status reporting cadences, steering committee decks, and program reviews — adapting communication style to audience

Data & Analytics Program Oversight

  • Manage programs involving data pipeline development, analytics platform deployments (including Palantir Foundry), and Power BI reporting initiatives
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams spanning data engineering, analytics, and business SMEs to ensure cohesive delivery
  • Support data governance, requirements traceability, and quality checkpoints throughout the program lifecycle
  • Interpret and leverage program data and metrics to identify trends, drive decisions, and surface insights for clients

Tools & Reporting

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and program health reports to provide real-time visibility into delivery status, KPIs, and risks
  • Configure and optimize Jira/Azure DevOps environments including boards, workflows, custom fields, and reporting integrations
  • Develop and manage resource tracking, budget burn, and capacity planning artifacts

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical program or project management, ideally in consulting, technology, or data-intensive environments
  • Hands-on proficiency with Jira and/or Azure DevOps — including administration, workflow configuration, and reporting
  • Demonstrated experience managing Power BI implementations or similar BI platform rollouts
  • Data-savvy mindset — comfortable engaging with data models, SQL concepts, KPI frameworks, and analytics workflows without being a practitioner
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams across cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and executive presentation skills; ability to synthesize complex technical progress into clear business narratives
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies; certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMP a plus

Work Location

This position requires onsite presence at client locations and/or our San Francisco office up to 2 days per week. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is hybrid (partial remote/partial onsite) and is not eligible for full remote work.
