Senior Construction Project Manager

AEC Consulting Group
Jacksonville, FL

Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Jacksonville, FL (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

Our client is a well-established General Contractor and Design-Build firm with a strong and growing backlog of commercial and industrial projects across Florida and the Southeast. While their most immediate need is at the Senior PM level, they are actively building their team and will consider strong candidates at multiple levels, from experienced Project Managers ready to take on more ownership to Senior PMs looking for a stable home with meaningful long-term work. If you have a solid GC background on commercial or industrial ground-up projects and are looking to grow with a firm that has the pipeline to support it, this is worth a conversation.

Role Overview

Manage and lead ground-up projects ranging from $30M to $150M+, including light industrial, warehousing, manufacturing, and large-scale commercial facilities, up to and including mission-critical and data center type work for the right candidate. You will own the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout: schedule, budget, quality, client relationships, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day project delivery including planning, scheduling (Primavera P6 or similar), cost control, and change management
  • Direct and coordinate subcontractors and design teams across multiple trades including MEP
  • Administer contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and progress reporting (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar)
  • Lead owner and client communications, proactively identifying and resolving issues in the field
  • Drive project closeout, punch list, turnover, and final documentation

Requirements

  • 7+ years of construction project management experience working directly for a General Contractor or Design-Build firm
  • Proven experience on commercial or industrial ground-up projects $20M
  • Ideal project experience includes: Light industrial, warehousing, manufacturing, healthcare, education, municipal, or similar. (residential, multifamily, or light retail/TI project experience will not suffice)
  • Strong MEP coordination and multi-trade management experience
  • Proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools
  • Strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and cost management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred

Why This Role

This role is ideal for a seasoned builder who wants to own a high-value, technically complex data center project rather than juggle small, repetitive jobs. Step into a visible leadership role with a strong, well-supported owner-client and project team, and join a growing division with a robust pipeline of future mission-critical and advanced manufacturing projects across the Southeast.
