Job title: Sr Cloud Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Security Engineering & Operations

  • Support and maintain security across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI)
  • Review cloud architectures and configurations to ensure alignment with security best practices
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and remediate security risks

Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)

  • Operate and manage CSPM tools to identify misconfigurations and vulnerabilities
  • Monitor cloud environments for security gaps, compliance issues, and exposure risks
  • Drive remediation efforts in partnership with infrastructure and application teams

Application & Platform Security

  • Support security for cloud-hosted applications, platforms, and services
  • Assist in securing containerized environments and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Ensure secure implementation of cloud-native architectures and services

Cloud Network & Access Security

  • Support implementation of secure access solutions, including SASE and Zero Trust principles
  • Assist with securing cloud networking, identity, and access management controls

Incident Response & Monitoring

  • Investigate and respond to cloud security alerts and incidents
  • Collaborate with security operations teams to contain, remediate, and prevent threats
  • Support integration with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk) for monitoring and visibility

Governance, Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of cloud security standards, policies, and procedures
  • Help automate security processes to improve efficiency, detection, and response
  • Support security assessments for emerging technologies, including AI-driven systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security or cloud platforms
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider:
  • Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI
  • Experience with cloud security tools, including CSPM solutions
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Cloud identity and access management (IAM)
  • Cloud networking and security controls
  • General cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience supporting application, platform, or container security in cloud environments
  • Exposure to security incident response and investigation processes
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
