Senior Business Analyst

Job Description:

• This position will develop and/or maintain business requirements, test plans and test cases and perform functional and regression testing on applications. This position will also support production applications.
• Provide a list of the day to day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate:

This individual will be expected to participate in the following activities:

• Analyze system documentation and system artifacts to develop an understanding of the associated business process.
• Elicit business system requirements using one or more of the following methods: analyze current processes, interview users, conduct group meetings, review/analyse existing documentation or system artifacts.
• Document and analyze ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes.
• Develop or maintain high-level and detailed system requirements in the form of clear business requirements documents, context diagrams, process flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and use cases.
• Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases.
• Develop or maintain user acceptance testing plans and help desk support guides.
• Develop detailed functional and system tests from documented system requirements. Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.
• Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests.
• Execute functional and system tests, including regression tests. Participate in user acceptance testing.
• Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required.
• Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g., missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process.
• Respond and work-through incident tickets submitted by users of business applications.

Must-Have Experience:

• 7+ years in Business Analysis (requirements, documentation, testing)
• Strong experience with test planning, execution, and defect tracking
• Expertise in process modeling (use cases, workflows, data dictionaries)
• Experience working with large enterprise applications
• Experience with criminal justice or law enforcement systems.
