We partner with leading global customers to deliver high-performance material solutions and customized formulations tailored to their application needs.

With R&D centers and manufacturing facilities in China and Vietnam and sales and technical teams around the world, we are seeking a senior application engineer to join our growing team in Santa Clara, CA.

In this role, you will work closely with the local sales team, engage directly with customers in the consumer electronics industry, and collaborate with our R&D team in China to develop innovative products based on application requirements. We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, technically strong, and motivated to take ownership of challenges and drive results.

WHAT YOU WILL DO


  • Partner directly with customers in the consumer electronics industry to understand application needs, troubleshoot product and process issues, and support successful project execution.
  • Lead technical projects and collaborate across global, cross-functional teams—including R&D, project management, application engineering, and sales.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and action plans clearly to both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Conduct lab work safely and in full compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Design and execute experiments using DOE methodologies, analyze results, and deliver technical reports that meet customer needs.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including specifications, test plans, procedures, and reports.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR


  • Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in adhesive or polymeric material formulation, application development, or related work in electronics or a similar industry.
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex technical projects from concept through completion.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment such as Instron, DSC, DMA, or similar instruments is a plus.
  • Customer-oriented, data-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Familiarity with adhesive applications and industry practices in consumer electronics is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
  • Fluency in Chinese is a MUST.
