We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our high-performing team. This is a permanent role that offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the financial operations of our company. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in accounting and finance, possessing the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and drive continuous improvement in our accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will:

1. Oversee all aspects of our company's accounting operations, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
2. Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP.
3. Act as the senior reviewer of all financial statements and reports, providing detailed analysis and commentary on financial performance.
4. Lead the annual budgeting process, partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop realistic and achievable financial targets.
5. Provide insights into financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
6. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial and operational performance.
7. Provide operational support, partnering closely with operations, asset management, HR, Legal, and IT to ensure alignment of financial and operational strategies.
8. Drive continuous improvement of accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry.
3. Proven experience in managing own accounting, leading month-end close, acting as a senior reviewer, leading annual budget, and providing insights into financial performance.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
6. Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage teams, drive performance, and deliver results.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
8. Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant IT systems.
9. A commitment to continuous improvement, with a track record of driving enhancements in accounting processes, systems, workflows, and documentation.
10. Experience in partnering with operations, asset management, HR, Legal, IT, and other key stakeholders to align financial and operational strategies.
