SENIOR PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT
Dynamic and well-established privately held investment company that manages a diverse portfolio of real estate holdings and performs a variety of services including property management, facilities management, construction, leasing and property analytics. Currently seeking a bright and experienced Senior Property Accountant in North Scottsdale.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
✓ Conduct full-service accounting duties for a complex real estate portfolio consisting of office, industrial, agricultural and mixed-use properties.
✓ Manage the month-end closing process and prepare monthly financial statements.
✓ Maintain monthly close schedules, including recurring journal entries, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, prepaids, straight-line rent, depreciation/amortization, and various other accruals.
✓ Periodic review of A/R and A/P activity to ensure entries are correctly coded.
✓ Prepare annual CAM and real estate billings and perform annual CAM reconciliations; assemble necessary detail and back-up for tenant’s use.
✓ Assist the VP of Finance & Accounting with data compilation of revenue, property tax and insurance for the annual budget package.
✓ Coordinate with VP of Real Estate to ensure proper accounting of lease agreements. ✓ Review and maintain fixed asset activity, including additions, dispositions and depreciation expense.
✓ Assist in the preparation of year-end tax filings.
✓ Prepare audit work papers and assist in managing the annual external audit process.
✓ Review leases and leasing activity to ensure accurate billing.
✓ Responsible for on-boarding all new tenant information in Yardi.
✓ Prepare and maintain supporting work-papers as specified.
QUALIFICATIONS: ✓ Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 3-5 years of accounting experience. ✓ Property accounting experience preferred. ✓ Experience with Yardi Voyager preferred. ✓ Proficient in all MS Office Word & Excel, Microsoft NAV and Sage Fixed Asset Software. ✓ Strong oral and written communication skills.
