For over 33 years, Kirschner & Company, LLC, a full-service accounting, tax, and consulting firm serving metro Atlanta, has provided high quality tax, strategic planning and attest services to a mixed blend of individuals and small businesses with annual revenues ranging from one million to over two hundred and fifty million dollars.
Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a dedicated, self-motivated team player with 3+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax and accounting engagements for privately held businesses and high net worth individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare corporate, partnership, trust, estate and individual tax returns
- Lead engagements throughout all phases of tax and accounting including research, projections, planning, compliance, consulting and financial statement preparation
- Assist with assurance engagements including audits, reviews, compilations and related workpapers
- Provide accounting assistance including the closing of client’s books
- Provide tax and business consulting to clients while fostering professional client relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibilities (assurance experience is a plus)
- CPA license or CPA candidate a plus
- Ability to professionally prepare tax returns, financial statements and related documents
- Understanding of tax law with the ability to perform effective tax research
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical and PC skills including tax software, MS Office and QuickBooks proficiency (ProSystem fx Engagement and UltraTax proficiency is a plus)
- Proven leadership, initiative, and responsiveness and adept at problem-solving, multitasking, and meeting deadlines while thriving in a fast-paced, paperless office environment
- Construction industry experience is a plus
