Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant for a top manufacturing and nutrition industry client. This individual will play a key role in supporting core accounting operations for a growing manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning critical accounting processes such as month-end close, inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting. Day-to-Day:
- Support and execute the monthly financial close process
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account analyses
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage intercompany accounting and settlements
- Handle inventory accounting (book-to-physical, costing, revaluation, reserves)
- Maintain fixed asset records, process additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Support annual fixed asset inventory
- Prepare monthly financial reports and ad hoc analysis
- Submit daily cash funding requests and transfers
- Assist with audits and cross-cover team responsibilities as needed
- Provide guidance to Staff Accountants
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business (Accounting preferred)
- 5+ years of accounting experience across multiple areas
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with: general ledger, month-end close, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, cost accounting, fixed assets and depreciation
- ERP accounting system experience
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Kennesaw, GA
Plusses:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS Accounting)
- CPA or other accounting certification
- Manufacturing or plant accounting experience
- Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior/staff accountants
- Experience with intercompany accounting and settlements
- Audit support experience (internal/external)
Compensation:
$60/hr to $65/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
