Our client, a well-known company in the rideshare and transportation industry, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Accounts Payable team on a contract basis. This role will provide coverage for a parental leave and offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-impact finance function. Experience with inventory transactions and three-way match billing required

Approx. 5-month contract (leave coverage)


Description

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support their Accounts Payable function. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across AP operations while partnering cross-functionally with key business units.

Responsibilities include:

  • Approve all invoices in the <$25K queue accurately and in a timely manner, including 2-way and 3-way match
  • Support batch payment processing as a backup to the AP Manager
  • Prepare multi-period accounting workbooks and confirm accuracy with FP&A
  • Partner with Accounting, Supply Chain, Operational Markets, and FP&A to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Serve as a resource for troubleshooting complex accounting matters
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and suppliers by proactively managing issue resolution
  • Participate in special projects as needed


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong accounting research and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Experience with Oracle preferred
  • Experience with inventory transactions and three-way match billing required


Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
