Senior Accountant | Tax and CAAS/ Advisory | Dartmouth, MA (Hybrid).
Most CPA firms care more about productivity than their staff wellbeing. This firm is not like that. Here you will be treated like an adult and your life will be respected as much as your work, if not more.
You will be doing predominantly accounting and advisory work but you will need a working knowledge of tax so you can manage the tax conversation with the client as well as the CAAS, even if you aren't preparing the returns.
The firm is looking for a Senior Accountant, ideally one to two years from Manager. You won’t be stuck just closing the books. You’ll be involved in conversations that actually shape client decisions. You’ll work with a range of small businesses. That means pace, variety, and real client access. It also means your work matters. You’ll see the impact of what you do.
Day to day, that includes:
Month-end and ongoing accounting support
Financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
Management reporting and dashboards
Helping clients use their financials to make better decisions
Some tax preparation
Hours and working style
Hybrid role with at least 3 days per week in the Dartmouth office
Busy periods can reach around 55 hours at the absolute most
Work is largely month-to-month, not seasonal
No “easy summers, brutal winters” model
This is steady, commercial accounting work with advisory exposure, not a compliance treadmill.
Who this suits
Strong accounting background
Comfortable working directly with clients
Interested in advisory-style work
Wants to grow into a Manager role over time
Looking for stability and a firm that develops people properly
5–10% bonus, tied to firm performance
Full benefits including retirement match and healthcare
If you want a Senior role that expands your skillset instead of narrowing it, and a firm that treats Manager as a destination you move toward not a carrot you chase, this is worth a conversation.
