SUMMARY:
A Security Operations Center (SOC) Specialist is responsible for the continuous, real-time monitoring and protection of the organization's physical and digital assets. This position serves as the central hub for identifying, analyzing, and responding to on road security incidents, communicating with internal staff, management, and first responders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement security policies and procedures
- Manage and monitor security systems such as CCTV, alarms, access control, and over the road deliveries.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency response agencies during incidents.
- Train staff on security protocols and emergency response.
- Investigate and document security incidents, recommending corrective actions.
- Oversee installation and maintenance of security infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Stay current with security technologies and best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years' experience in physical security, law enforcement, or military service preferred
- Certified PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), or similar preferred
- Strong knowledge of security principles and technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking
- Effective communication and leadership
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to internal escalations
- Familiarity with security regulations and compliance standards
- Availability for nights and weekends
