Security Officer

Cardinal Point is seeking an experienced Security Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests, team members, and the security of a hotel and property while providing outstanding guest service.

Shift: 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM

Location: Reading, PA

Pay Rate: $22.50 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Patrol the interior of and the perimeter of a hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks, and undesirable conditions.
• Respond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property.
• Promote safe work practices.
• Initiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed.
• Write reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.

Required Experience

• Strong communication and conflict‑resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high‑pressure situations
• Comfortable working evening and/or night shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Physically able to walk, stand, and patrol for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license preferred
