- Security Coordination Manager Security and Law Enforcement Operations Division Salary $108,762-$122,345 This is a supervisory position. Job Summary: The incumbent is responsible for the development, coordination, and oversight of security initiatives related to the House. This role ensures the successful execution of security programs by effectively assigning resources, coordinating teams, and managing projects to completion in a timely manner. The incumbent manages coordination of security protocols and programs related to Members of Congress, their families, Congressional offices and staff. Duties: Typical duties include, but are not necessarily limited to: Supports division programs related to Member and District Office safety and security, including assisting with the Personal Security Program, Residential Security Program, and related initiatives. Conducts routine coordination with U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) to collect information relevant to Member safety and threat assessments; elevates issues requiring senior review. Manages outreach initiatives and ensures delivery of security programs and protocols related to Members and Congressional offices. Drafts briefing materials, status updates, and correspondence for review by senior managers. Assists in documenting program requirements, procedures, and operational workflows. Assists in collecting and organizing data used to track strategic goals and program outcomes. Engages with SAA Security Liaison Team to support Member travel, site security, and event coordination. Provides guidance to support staff and may lead project teams or workgroups. Participates in planning and logistics for Congressional events or site visits; ensures required information is relayed to partner agencies. Provides routine customer service to Member offices regarding basic safety and security questions. Assists with maintaining liaison contact lists, documentation repositories, and operational logs. Provides administrative support to daily division operations. Supports continuity of operations activities as directed. Manages discrete segments of Member and District Office safety/security programs (e.g. site planning, coordination for travel missions, residential upgrades), ensuring timely and accurate execution. Conducts independent liaison with USCP law enforcement and protection elements to support threat mitigation and investigative coordination. Prepares draft briefings for senior leadership and contributes to oral updates to stakeholders. Independently implements assigned program procedures and identifies areas for process improvement. Supports off-hours response or coordination needs when assigned. Assists in budget preparation by providing cost estimates, program data, and operational inputs. Performs other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in criminal justice, homeland security, security administration, or related field. Experience in law enforcement or security program implementation. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory or management experience in fields related to security, law enforcement, emergency management, or military operations. Advanced degree in criminal justice, homeland security, security administration or related field. Work Schedule: Full-time, permanent. Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Must be able to work outside of normal business hours, when necessary, evenings and weekends as needed. Physical Requirements and Work Environment: This position is based in a typical office environment. Actual weight handled varies, but the role involves handling items including books, documents, and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. The incumbent should be capable of meeting physical requirements, which may include sitting, lifting, bending, crouching, walking, and standing.
