An Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of power equipment including forklifts, standup forklifts, order or cherry pickers or cranes. Equipment Operators move cartons, pallets or other containers of product within the distribution center. The position requires continuous standing, repetitive motion, lifting of up to 50lbs / 23kg and the associate may operate equipment at heights of 40ft / 12m or more.

Job Responsibilities:

• Apply basic math skills to verify and adjust quantities, accurately fulfill orders, and make necessary adjustments,
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), radio frequency (RF) scanners, and other equipment to complete job duties
• Follow written, verbal, and computer-delivered instructions accurately to perform assigned tasks
• Identify inventory correctly and match product numbers to ensure proper handling and storage
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination for tasks requiring grasping, holding, or fine motor skills
• Maintain accurate records and verify documentation to support merchandise flow through the distribution center
• Operate motorized and non-motorized power equipment such as forklifts, stand-up forklifts, and order selectors for majority of working hours
• Adhere to all company safety protocols, to ensure a safe work environment
• When necessary, individual is flexible and willing to work in other areas of the DC

VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment is a plus
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs / 23kg
• Ability to stand for the duration of shift with breaks
• Complete required power equipment training and obtain certification/licensure upon hire
• Ability to multitask
• Self-motivated and team oriented
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug screening
