Scientist II (Contract – 24 Months)

We are hiring a Scientist II to support a high-impact research initiative in immuno-oncology and autoimmune disease within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
This is a 24-month contract with potential for extension and strong conversion opportunity based on performance and project needs.
About the Role
This position will support a critical new research program focused on drug discovery and development. You’ll work across multiple teams, gaining exposure to both oncology and immunology research, with the opportunity to contribute to one of the organization’s most important ongoing projects.
What You’ll Do
- Design, execute, and troubleshoot laboratory experiments
- Apply molecular and cellular biology techniques to validate T cell targets
- Perform hands-on lab work (70–80%), including assay development and execution
- Analyze data and communicate findings to cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with research scientists to drive project decisions
- Prepare scientific reports, presentations, and contribute to publications
- Maintain accurate lab records and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety standards
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
Must-Have Skills
- Oncology, Immunology, or Biology background
- Cell culture experience (REQUIRED) – human cell lines or human immune cells
- Flow cytometry (10+ panel experience preferred)
Nice to Have
- Multi-color flow cytometry design and analysis
- ELISA, MSD, AlphaLISA assays
- RT-qPCR and Western Blot techniques
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Prism)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Immunology, Oncology, or related field
- 1–2 years of relevant lab experience (post-graduate)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
