We’re currently seeking a School Social Worker for an Extended School Year (ESY), school-based assignment in Lake County, IL.
This role is well-suited for a professional who enjoys short-term, focused support, values collaboration, and is passionate about supporting students’ social-emotional needs in a school setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Lake County, IL (in-person only)
- Dates: June 15 – July 26
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (No Fridays)
- Grade Range: EC–12
Responsibilities:
- Provide school-based social work services aligned with students’ IEPs and social-emotional goals.
- Support students’ behavioral, emotional, and social development in an ESY setting.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success.
- Deliver individual and group support as appropriate based on student needs.
- Participate in team meetings, documentation, and required ESY program activities.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement.
- Prior school-based or youth-focused social work experience preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite and support a short-term ESY assignment.
