Role: SAP Functional Consultant (Service and Asset Manager)
Locations: hybrid -Plano, TX / Purchase, NY / Winston Salem, NC
Job Description: SAM Functional Consultant
- Lead end-to-end implementation of SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM), configuring standard features to meet business needs.
- Map business requirements to SAP best practices, particularly for asset maintenance, and scheduling.
- Ensure seamless integration between SSAM and SAP S/4HANA modules (EAM, CS, MM, Finance, SD).
- Optimize user experience for maintenance technicians and service engineers in mobile/offline scenarios.
- Create functional specs, execute test scripts (unit/integration), and troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct workshops with business users, provide training, and offer post-go-live support.
- Have exposure to handle Equipment’s linked with Material, Asset Master, and Serial Numbers. Handle inventory and transfer of Equipment’s from Customer Site to Client owned Plants.
- Have exposure to install/uninstall Equipment’s at a Customer Site and handle service and repairs.
Must have skills:
- 10+ years of SAP experience, with 3+ years specifically in SSAM, Work Manager, or Asset Manager (PM/EAM).
- Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and configuration.
Nice to have skills:
- Experience working with S/4HANA Customer Service (CS) solutions.
- Background in Asset Management (PM) or Customer Service (CS).
- Knowledge of handling equipment and other S/4HANA SAM Master Data in SAP MDG.
- Familiarity with IT service management tools like ADO, SOLMAN, ServiceNow.
