Sales Representative

Location: Remote

Territory: Eastern Midwest – IN, MI, OH, KY, TN


Job Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with truck dealers, equipment distributors, fleet operators, and rental and leasing companies that align with US Truck Body’s long-term growth strategy. This role includes strategic sales planning, managing the sales process from quoting to post-sale support, and acting as the primary liaison between US Truck Body and its customers.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients.
  • Travel 25%-50% of the time for customer visits, tradeshows, and company headquarters, including overnight stays as necessary.
  • Conduct face-to-face cold calls and establish a consistent pattern of in-person sales meetings.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers in the territory.
  • Manage the warranty claim process from initiation to resolution.
  • Assist with accounts receivable activities.
  • Generate quotes, proposals, and customer and sales reports.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams to respond to and resolve customer needs.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities and provide feedback to the management team.


Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the transportation industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
