JOB TITLE: Sales Representative

Job Summary: Performs a wide variety of inside and outside sales-generating duties in assigned markets to achieve revenue and activity goals including receiving inbound customer calls, making outside sales calls to new and existing clients, providing quotes and selling transportation services. Individual must be able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment handling multiple duties and responsibilities while being available to assist walk-in and telephone customers. Sales representatives must possess proficient knowledge and capability in use of Microsoft Office products.
Primary responsibilities/Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
♦ Receive inbound calls, provide pricing information and quotations for the purpose of selling transportation service
♦ Make both cold and scheduled calls (inside and outside) to prequalify potential business opportunities using contacts from industry sources such as the Atlanta Business Chronicle and other business networks such as memberships and industry networking events that include the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau.
♦ Solicit and schedule sales meeting appointments some of which will include the CEO/General Manager
♦ Attend tradeshows, conferences and industry networking events and effectively conduct presentations to large groups of people.
♦ Anticipate customers’ needs and provide feedback to customers regarding transportation arrangements, trip status, pricing information and/or adjustments based on services
♦ Collect information and perform accurate data entry consistent with details as provided by the client
♦ Calculate and communicate accurate charges for services
♦ Oversee full sales process to include RFP process and negotiations, entering reservations in the delivery system for contracts secured, conduct outbound calls to clients to confirm reservations and work with dispatch/operations team on proper execution
♦ Handle total account development and maximization across local and national territories
♦ Assist clients with questions and any informational issues relating to reservations or customer service
Qualifications:

Experience in the hospitality, tourism or transportation industry is preferred.

♦ Must be able to handle high pressure sales situations simultaneously while maintaining positive customer relations
♦ Must be competent in basic mathematical functions in order to calculate pricing details, discounts and percentage reductions
♦ Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a calm, professional manner
♦ Must demonstrate understanding and proficiency in solicitation of sales and upselling strategies
♦ Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team or group
♦ Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
♦ Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages
♦ Dependability and reliability both in attendance and performance
♦ Strong team player that works effectively with sales, management, operations and customer service teams.
