Role Description
Naked Diablo Tequila is seeking a Chicago Off-Premise Sales Representative to drive retail distribution, shelf presence, and depletion velocity across liquor stores, grocery, and chain accounts.
This role is responsible for ensuring Naked Diablo is visible, available, and consistently selling at retail, with a focus on repeat purchase behavior, not just placement.
Core Mission
Build and scale retail velocity across Chicago by:
- Expanding distribution in priority accounts
- Driving shelf placement and visibility
- Ensuring strong reorder cycles and depletion performance
- Turning retail accounts into consistent volume engines
Key Responsibilities
Retail Account Development
- Open and expand accounts across Binny’s, Mariano’s, Jewel-Osco, and key independents
- Build strong relationships with store managers and category buyers
- Secure new placements and expand SKU presence where appropriate
Execution & Merchandising
- Ensure product is correctly placed, priced, and stocked
- Drive endcaps, shelf positioning, and secondary displays
- Maintain high execution standards across all retail accounts
Sampling & Trial Generation
- Execute in-store tastings and sampling programs
- Drive trial-to-purchase conversion at point of sale
- Partner with stores on promotional activity and seasonal campaigns
Velocity Management
- Track depletion rates and reorder cycles per account
- Identify high-performing stores and double down on them
- Address slow-moving accounts quickly and strategically
Distributor Collaboration
- Work closely with distributor reps to ensure execution alignment
- Feed actionable account-level feedback to improve sell-through
- Push distributor prioritization through demonstrated velocity
Ideal Candidate
- 2–6+ years in off-premise spirits, wine, or high-growth CPG sales
- Strong relationships with Chicago retail buyers and store managers
- Experience in chain retail and independent liquor store environments
- Strong execution discipline and attention to detail in-store
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
