Rogers Group is currently seeking a Sales Trainee in the Middle Tennessee area for our Eastern Division operations, reporting directly to the Middle Tennessee Director of Sales. 

Position Focus:

  • The trainee position is intended for new college graduates who have obtained a bachelor’s degree and have a desire for a career in sales and marketing.
  • The trainee will enter the Rogers Group Sales Management Development Program (SMDP). The program is a comprehensive 24-month development program to allow the trainee to learn about Rogers Group, our industry and the sales and marketing role.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn all aspects of our business including sales, quality control, manufacturing processes, office administrative processes, etc.
  • Learn all aspects of our products and their usage.
  • Interface with customers and work to enhance customer experience (i.e. product applications, product alignment with customer needs, etc.)
  • Begin to develop customer relationships and develop strategies to increase sales for the Strategic Market Area.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in related discipline (sales, marketing, etc.) and a strong desire for a professional career in construction material sales. Master’s degree optional.
  • Internship and co-op experiences in sales and marketing.
  • High level of motivation. Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills.
  • Exposure to industries such as mining, construction or manufacturing preferred.
