Our Group Benefits team works with small and mid-sized organizations operating internationally to design and implement customized employee benefits programs that support globally distributed teams.


As one of the largest international brokers serving clients worldwide and a leading partner of top global carriers, ICI is expanding its B2B group benefits division and seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative to help accelerate growth.


Role Overview

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a key role in driving new business opportunities for the Group Benefits team. This position focuses on identifying and engaging prospective organizations, generating qualified leads, and supporting the sales pipeline for international employee benefits solutions.


The SDR will conduct outreach, build relationships with decision-makers such as HR leaders and international operations managers, and help introduce organizations to ICI’s global insurance solutions.


This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual interested in sales, international business, and employee benefits who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.


Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting

  • Identify and research prospective organizations with globally mobile employees
  • Build targeted prospect lists across industries with international teams
  • Engage potential clients through outbound email, LinkedIn outreach, and phone calls

Pipeline Development

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads for the Group Benefits sales team
  • Schedule discovery calls and meetings with qualified prospects
  • Maintain and update CRM records with accurate lead and pipeline information

Market Outreach

  • Connect with HR leaders, founders, finance leaders, and international operations teams
  • Introduce organizations to international health insurance and global benefits solutions
  • Attend select conferences to represent the organization, generate leads, and network
  • Support outreach campaigns related to content, webinars, and industry resources

Sales Team Support

  • Collaborate with senior sales leaders to identify high-value opportunities
  • Provide insights from prospect conversations to refine messaging and targeting
  • Assist in preparing prospects for consultations with benefits advisors

Performance & Metrics

  • Meet or exceed outreach and meeting lead generation targets
  • Track prospect engagement and campaign performance
  • Continuously refine outreach strategies to improve conversion rates


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, professional, and self-motivated
  • Comfort with high-volume outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
  • Interest in sales, international business, or employee benefits

Preferred

  • Experience in sales development, lead generation, or B2B outreach
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot)
  • Experience working with HR, insurance, benefits, or global mobility industries
  • Background or interest in international markets
