Role Description
The Sales Consultant will be responsible for gaining new wholesale customers and building business within their account base. Our candidate will possess a high level of communication and excellent relationship building skills. The Sales Consultant also will be focused on promoting the BLNCD and Foundry Nation brands through engagement with existing customers in our distributor network. This position will also work in tandem with our distributor partner’s sales teams to execute on new accounts, existing accounts, and support new points of distribution by generating volume while utilizing focused market work POS, marketing materials, etc.
Responsibilities
- Identify new wholesale leads for potential customers, explaining the product, and overcoming objectives to drive business using a consultative sales process.
- Plan and execute sales calls, appointments, and site visits
- Work in tandem with distributor partners to increase visibility of Global Organic beverage brands in existing customer accounts.
- Heavy focus on frequent calls to On- Premise and retail liquor stores with our distributor partners.
- Plan and execute a weekly schedule of appointments and account visits.
- Regular communication and follow up with Global Organic and distributor partners with updates on market activity and execution.
- Ability to connect with customers through multiple touchpoints- Owners, Managers, Buyers, and the Frontline Sales Team.
- Build relationships with key accounts and regional chains.
- Track and log notes in Hubspot and Karma VIP for all scheduled and completed account visits and activations.
- Establish and maintain professional and ethical working relationships with all clients and company staff.
- Maintain a well-groomed personal appearance. Be able to represent our brands in a professional manner within all accounts and within their community.
- Follow all state, local, and company rules to comply with applicable laws.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to build and execute a sales strategy to generate and develop new business
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and one or more CRM tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership and negotiation skills
- Must be flexible, work well independently and have a team-oriented approach
- Passion for cannabis, health and wellness and its growing industry
- Proficient in email communication and web research
- Able to learn new technology tools and applications as needed to support your work (e.g.. CRM, database management, social media, communication applications)
Requirements
- AGE: Must be at least 21 years of age with no criminal history
- Travel: 60% of time
- LOCATION: You will work based out of Minneapolis, but travel will cover the greater midwest area. Monthly travel is also expected nationally to support our growing distribution network. Expected travel is 60% of work hours.
- EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in the cannabis, hemp, or alcohol industry
- TRANSPORTATION: A dependable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license are mandatory. Must have a valid driver’s license at all times. A dependable vehicle at all times. Minimum $300,000.00 automobile liability insurance at all times.
