Sales Case Support Associate | Traverse City, MI

If you’re looking to break into orthopedic medical device sales and want a role that keeps you close to the OR, deeply involved in surgical cases, and fully immersed in the operational side of the business, this opportunity is worth a closer look.

This is a junior‑level, in‑field role designed to support a high‑volume orthopedic territory where execution, preparation, and attention to detail matter. You’ll work alongside experienced Sales Representatives, surgeons, and hospital teams—playing a critical role in case readiness, logistics, and surgical support. This is not an immediate territory‑owning sales position, but rather a ground‑floor opportunity to learn the business, earn trust, and build toward a Rep role over time.

What You'll Do (and Why It Matters)

  • Provide operational and in‑case support across multiple hospitals and surgeons, ensuring cases are prepared correctly and executed smoothly
  • Prepare for surgical cases by assembling trays, opening and organizing implant kits, and verifying completeness—because details matter in the OR
  • Move, transport, and stage totes, trays, and instrumentation between facilities to support tight surgical schedules and back‑to‑back cases
  • Attend cases regularly to learn surgical instrumentation, implants, and OR workflow while supporting the Sales team
  • Identify missing or used items, communicate gaps, and proactively help solve inventory and logistics challenges
  • Partner closely with Sales and Operations to support next‑day case readiness and reduce downstream stress on the territory

The Bigger Picture

This territory is supported by highly experienced Sales Representative whose biggest constraint is time spent on operational execution. This role directly enables growth by helping the team stay focused on surgeons and cases while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

If you want an opportunity where effort is noticed, growth is earned, and long‑term advancement is realistic—not promised—this is how you get started.

Who This Role Is For

This role is designed for someone early in their medical device journey—or someone looking to transition into the industry—who brings energy, accountability, and a strong work ethic.

You’re someone who:

  • Is comfortable working in fast‑paced, hands‑on environments
  • Takes pride in preparation, follow‑through, and getting the small things right
  • Is physically capable of moving equipment and enjoys being active throughout the day
  • Values mentorship and sees long‑term growth in learning the business from the ground up
  • Brings a “salt‑of‑the‑earth” attitude—positive, reliable, and eager to improve

What Is Required

This role is best suited for someone who meets the following criteria:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (local travel required)
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy totes, trays, and carts
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfort working in hospital and OR environments
  • Degree not required—logistics, warehouse, customer service, or detail‑oriented experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Northern Michigan (including the Traverse City area) is preferred due to the travel demands and geography of the territory.
