This is a full-time, on-site role based in midtown New York.


Role Overview

The Private Client Advisor (PCA) – New York is a high-impact client-facing role responsible for converting inbound demand, proactively creating outbound demand, and deepening client relationships through both buying and selling/consigning activity. This role rewards initiative, responsiveness, and relationship intelligence.This role is central to Madison Avenue Couture’s circular luxury model, where trusted clients not only purchase exceptional pieces but also entrust MAC to sell or consign assets from their own collections. The NY PCA operates with urgency, judgment, and commercial discipline, while maintaining the discretion and polish expected in ultra-luxury.


This position reports to the Chief Client Officer.


Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted luxury advisor across Hermès, Chanel, and fine jewelry categories, delivering expert guidance with credibility, discretion, and market knowledge


  • Respond to high-intent client inquiries originating from web, phone, chat, showroom, and digital channels with urgency, professionalism, and a conversion-oriented mindset


  • Conduct elevated in-person showroom appointments and virtual consultations that deepen relationships, build trust, and drive both acquisition and repeat business


  • Proactively cultivate client relationships through personalized outreach via email, text, and phone, leveraging individual preferences, purchase history, and lifecycle opportunities


  • Partner closely with the Private Client Acquisitions team to convert buyers into consignors and consignors into buyers, reinforcing Madison Avenue Couture’s circular luxury ecosystem


  • Collaborate with merchandising to identify emerging client demand, sourcing gaps, and high-conversion inventory opportunities based on real-time client feedback


  • Build long-term client loyalty and retention by managing relationships holistically across both purchasing and selling journeys


  • Maintain disciplined CRM engagement, ensuring accurate client records, pipeline visibility, follow-up cadence, and relationship intelligence to support retention and revenue growth


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in luxury retail / client services / hospitality
  • College graduate
  • Clienteling and follow-through, e.g. managing ongoing client relationships to reach conversion
  • Comfortable with high-touch communications with HNW clients
  • Accuracy in operations a must
  • Ability to self manage, as well as to work with a team
  • Comfortable with working with a CRM program-Endear a plus
  • Knowledge of Shopify a plus
  • Prior showroom support a plus
  • Knowledge or interest in Hermès and Chanel handbags a plus


Compensation and benefit:

  • Base compensation from $90k-$115k DOE
