We believe that no project, schedule, or profit is ever worth compromising the wellbeing of our people.SummaryThe Safety & Wellbeing Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HTSs safety programs across all field operations.This leader will partner closely with operations, technicians, and executive leadership to ensure that every job is planned and executed with safety as the first priority.The ideal candidate is not just a policy administratorthey are a visible safety leader who actively engages with technicians in the field, builds trust, and reinforces a culture where every employee takes ownership of safety.This role reports directly to executive leadership and works closely with operations, HR, and training teams.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Program Leadership     Develop, implement, and maintain company safety programs, policies and procedures.     Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.     Continuously improve safety systems to support HTSs rapid operational growth.Field Safety Oversight     Conduct regular jobsite visits and safety audits across solar, energy and industrial projects.     Partner with field leadership to identify hazards and implement proactive safety measures.     Support pre-job planning and Job Hazard Environmental Analysis (JHEA) development.Incident Investigation & Prevention     Lead investigations for all safety incidents, near misses and recordable events.     Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.     Develop companywide lessons learned communication to prevent recurrence.Safety Training & Education     Develop and coordinate safety training programs for field technicians and leadership teams.     Ensure all required certifications and training records are maintained.     Support new employee safety onboarding and ongoing field education.Risk Management     Monitor safety metrics including TRIR, DART, OSHA and EMR performance.     Assist with workers compensation claims management and incident reporting.     Collaborate with insurance providers and leadership to reduce risk exposure.Safety Culture Development     Promote HTSs core values:Never Compromise Wellbeing for ProfitNo Grit, No GloryTotal AccountabilityWe Do the Next Right ThingAlways Fight Like the UnderdogWe Never, Never, Never Give Up!     Encourage employee engagement in safety initiatives and near-miss reporting.     Recognize and celebrate strong safety performance across the organization.Compliance & Documentation     Maintain safety documentation, reporting systems and regulatory records.     Ensure compliance with client safety requirements, platforms and site-specific programs.     Support safety documentation for bids, contracts and project mobilization.Employee Relations & InvestigationsPartner with HR and leadership to support workplace investigations, including safety incidents, policy violations and employee complaints.Conduct fact-based investigations following incidents or behavioral concerns and document findings objectively.Assist leadership in identifying root causes related to workplace behavior, communication or leadership practices that may impact safety or morale.Support fair and consistent application of company policies.Workforce WellbeingPromote a culture where employee wellbeing is prioritized alongside operational excellence.Identify opportunities to improve mental health, fatigue management, and stress awareness within field teams.Support initiatives that strengthen psychological safety, team trust and open communication.Partner with HR to promote wellness resources, employee support programs, and safe work practices.QualificationsExperience5+ years of safety leadership experience in construction, renewables, utilities, or industrial services.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.Experience supporting field operations and working directly with technicians.Preferred CertificationsOSHA 30 (preferred)OSHA 500 / OSHA Trainer (preferred)CSP, CHST, or equivalent safety certification (preferred)SkillsStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to influence and build trust with field teamsExcellent incident investigation and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational and documentation skillsBenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement PlanPaid time off and holidaysProfessional growth opportunities in a scaling company
