With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to welcome a Safety/Quality Control Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team.
Job Overview
The Safety/Quality Control Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities and the facility meet established safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory compliance. This role performs inspections, monitors work practices, identifies hazards, and supports corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
Compensation: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour (Based on experience), medical, vision, dental, life insurance, 401k
Shifts: 6:00am – 2:30 pm, 2:00pm - 10:30pm, 10:00pm – 6:30am. Days off to be Determined.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety and quality inspections of facilities, equipment, and maintenance activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations and safety standards
- Identify, document, and report safety hazards, quality issues, and non-compliance concerns
- Support corrective and preventive action plans to resolve deficiencies
- Perform audits of maintenance work to ensure proper procedures and standards are followed
- Maintain accurate inspection reports, logs, and compliance documentation
- Assist in incident investigations and identify causes
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, and management to improve safety performance
- Promote a strong safety culture across all operational areas
Requirements
- Valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subject to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria
- Technical or vocational training preferred
- Experience in maintenance, facilities, safety, or quality control role (preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and general safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to interpret procedures, policies, and technical instructions
- Strong communication and reporting skills
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and inspect job sites for extended periods
- Ability to climb, bend, and navigate operational areas safely
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in various weather and operational conditions
