We are seeking a highly motivated Program Safety Manager II to support safety operations on complex airport and airside construction projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all contractors and project teams operate safely within active airport environments, maintaining strict compliance with regulatory, security, and operational requirements.



You’ll work closely with contractors, inspection teams, and program leadership to drive a proactive, behavior-based safety culture across all phases of construction in a highly regulated, safety-sensitive environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Contractor Safety Teams, Airport Inspection Teams, and Project/Construction Management to ensure full compliance with safety and security requirements
  • Conduct frequent airside and landside field walks (often multiple times daily) to monitor safety performance and operational risks
  • Perform Task Hazard Analysis (THA) audits and document safety observations using program safety platforms
  • Review contractor safety plans and validate execution in the field, particularly in active airfield environments

Ensure compliance with critical documentation and safety processes,


Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active BCSP certification (CHST or higher)
  • Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience in heavy civil, vertical, or infrastructure projects
  • Experience working in high-risk, operational environments (airport experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of construction safety regulations and compliance standards


Preferred

  • Prior experience on airport or airside construction projects
  • Familiarity with FAA, TSA, and airport authority safety/security requirements
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in safety roles
  • Bilingual communication skills


Technical

  • Skills Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Construction/project management systems (e.g., PM Web or similar)
  • Ability to develop safety reports, dashboards, and presentations

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Field-intensive role requiring extensive walking (several miles daily across large jobsites)
  • Work performed in active airport environments, including airside
  • Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and off-hours work
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security badge with AOA access
  • Must pass federal background check (including TSA/Customs clearance as required)
  • Must have reliable transportation capable of accessing secured areas
