JOB DESCRIPTION

This role will be responsible for driving and supporting in robot testing, debug and root cause analysis; And will require a mix of experience with embedded software, and integration with highly complex mechanical systems.

  • Support the development of verification & validation procedures and test scripts and ensure traceability to engineering and product requirements.
  • Validate the performance and reliability of general-purpose robots during product development.
  • Ensure testing processes and procedures comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Summarize and present complex test results to drive actionable plans.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Expertise in verification and validation of mechanical or electro-mechanical systems, ideally robotics
  • Expertise in root cause analysis and reliability growth
  • Familiarity with ROS – Executing main stack in ROS, using various ROS messages, understand messaging structure (do not need to be fluent enough to dive in and write ROS scripts)
  • Understanding of EtherCAT protocols for troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with RTPreempt and Linux kernel configuration



NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


  • Experience implementing model-based feedback control of articulated robots and troubleshooting hardware
  • Experience with complex robotic systems, especially planning and control for grasping and manipulating generic objects with a robot arm in an industrial automation context
