Located on the Torrey Pines Mesa near I-5 and Genesee Avenue in La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital has served the greater San Diego community since 1977. We provide some of the region’s best care, including several nationally ranked specialty programs.

Scripps Green Hospital is attached to Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines. Together we offer dozens of medical and surgical services, including cancer care, orthopedic surgery and organ transplantation.

This is a Full time, benefited OR RN role at Scripps Green in Torrey Pines (La Jolla). Hours are with an alternate work schedule consisting of 0645-1715 and 0645-1730 and on call responsibilities.

Join Scripps Green Hospital Surgery Team, which operates in 12 OR suites and sees 900 cases a month. The ideal candidate for the position will have 1 or more years of OR experience, including, but not limited to Ortho (total Joints/LER- lower extremity reconstruction), General, Urology, Vascular, Spine, Plastics, ENT, Robotics, Neuro, and Transplant. This is a busy and fast-paced environment which requires teamwork and cooperation to provide the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice.
• Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
• The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Qualifications:

• One year of recent RN experience in the Operating Room (Circulating)

• California Registered Nurse License

• Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification

• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

• Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 + years surgery experience preferred

• Bachelor's degree in nursing

• Preferred circulating experience with ortho, vascular, endovascular, general, ENT, urology, robotics and spine
