Job Summary and Responsibilities

The RN Critical Care Clinical Practice Expert is a registered nurse with advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in women's health nursing. This role ensures high patient/family satisfaction and cost-effective care by assessing needs, planning/executing/evaluating nursing care, and implementing coordinated programs within Women's Health. As an expert practitioner, they optimize nursing quality through direct patient care, clinical staff development, consultation, and research. This expert also leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education across multiple units or facility-wide, managing programs that foster professional growth and competency in alignment with organizational goals. Serving as a clinical leader, they promote excellence in clinical nursing care, acting as an advanced learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, and champion for interprofessional collaboration, driving evidence-based practice and teaching across client, nurse, and system spheres of influence.

Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA) upon hire Required

Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), upon hire Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire Required

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) upon hire Required

Fire Safety (FIRESAFETY) within 90 Days Required

Critical RN Adult/Neonatal/Pediatric/Acute (CCRN) upon hire Preferred

Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) upon hire Preferred

Advanced Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (ACCNS-AG) upon hire Preferred or

Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist Board Certified (ACNS-BC) upon hire Preferred

Education

Masters Of Nursing upon hire Preferred

Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in Maternal Child Health in the acute care setting. Preferred

PhD, DNP, EdD upon hire

Experience with data analysis and quality improvement methodologies. Preferred

Experience in precepting or charge nursing roles preferred. Preferred
