Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Surgery Services, the RN Quality Coordinator provides leadership for quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives across Surgical Services. The role leads and manages quality improvement projects and change management initiatives that support safe, high-reliability perioperative care. Supports the investigation and follow-up of incident reports, adverse events, patient complaints, and patient care concerns, translating findings into actionable improvement plans. Serves as a clinical resource and change leader, supporting leadership, physicians, and staff in adopting evidence-based practices that enhance patient and staff safety.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 3 years of current RN experience is required. Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement projects, multidisciplinary teams, and change management initiatives within perioperative or surgical services settings is preferred. Experience in policy and protocol development is strongly preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:
Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Visio experience helpful. Experienced with interpretation and validation of policies /procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) is required within one year of hire. Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses Certification (ASPAN) certification, and Society of Gastroenterology Nurses (SGNA) is preferred.
